Confirmation

Just to confirm:

We'll have an exam review and problem solving session tomorrow afternoon, from 4pm until 5:30pm, in room 208TB (same room).

If you just can't make it, don't fret. Mark Wyville will repeat the exact same information on Monday morning at the usual class.

I just felt it was important that I see you personally before your exam. Without getting all gushy, I do want you all to do as well as you can.

See you tomorrow!

----------------
Additional info added Friday evening:

Just so there is no confusion:

It's a review.

It will be repeated on Monday December 1st.

It is not a repeat of a previous class.

Sir,
Could please post our marks (mid-term & labs ) on website or webCT?

so we can check and make sure that marks are recorded properly.
(Because I had this problem last year- One of my TA didn't record my last lab mark and at the end i got F grade. - and then i had to talk to the professor and got my grade)

Yes, definitely. I am always careful with posting the marks, because just a stupid missed row in a spreadsheet could cause everyone's marks to get mixed up. Imagine if the next student in the list had an F, and you had an A+, and somehow his mark got moved into your row. That is not something we want to happen.

What I'll do is post the marks according to student ID number. I realize that is not perfectly anonymous, but it's the best I can do at present.

Apparently the class on Monday was not just a repetition of the class held on Saturday, but a continuation of it.

This is hardly fair to those of us who could not make it to this "emergency class" on Saturday due to the short notice and the fact that we have lives and jobs outside of university where we might have made prior commitments. It would be extremely helpful to have a copy of the solutions to the problems that were covered on Saturday as well as any 'indications' that you gave regarding what is going to be on the exam.

I believe that this is only fair as now certain people, who just so happened to be able to make it to Saturdays class, have an advantage over us unfortunate souls who had prior commitments.

Thanks for your consideration,
-Worried Unfortunate Soul

I agree, I think that either the soultions to the sample problems, or the solutions to the exam questions if you don't have the ones for the problems written out, would be very helpful to some of us and definitely reassure everyone that they are on the right track with their studying.

Thanks.

Or, I guess you could always just ignore us completely.

Thanks!
